This event was first run in 1959 as a Club Event. In 1963 it was made up to an Open Event. It has been run every year since then and has become a “classic” early season event attracting many top competitors from all over the country as well as being very popular with riders from London and the Home Counties.
Unfortunately the East Surrey Road Club no longer have the resources to promote the event but the DORKING CC, a comparatively new club that has assisted over the last couple of years, have taken on organisation for 2017 on Sunday 12th March and hopefully many more years.
If you feel inclined to test your early season fitness over this testing course enter on line via the CTT website.
If you are not fit enough to compete get out on your bike around the Surrey lanes to support the riders and the new promoters. The event HQ is Leigh Village Hall.
